01 / UNDERSTAND THE SYSTEM
A split system connects an indoor unit and an outdoor unit using refrigerant pipework. Different indoor styles suit different layouts and ceiling conditions.
Choose the indoor format around the room, ceiling and maintenance access—not appearance alone.
A common choice for individual rooms, with accessible filters and straightforward room control.
Ceiling solutions can distribute air across a space or through ductwork, but require suitable ceiling and access provisions.
Useful where the layout suits a floor-positioned indoor unit and its airflow path can remain clear.

02 / SCOPE & CONDITION
| Area | What matters | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Indoor unit | Airflow, cooling coil, fan and drainage | Indoor water leakage does not always mean a refrigerant leak. |
| Outdoor unit | Condenser airflow, compressor and fan operation | Maintain the model-specific clearances and access. |
| Connections | Refrigerant pipes, insulation and electrical supply | Check the entire connection route during replacement planning. |
Parts, quantities, access, shutdowns and reinstatement are confirmed against your site and equipment. Additional defects or specialist works are discussed separately.

Record type, model and room location.
Review airflow, drainage, pipes and outdoor conditions.
Agree the action appropriate to the equipment condition.
Confirm controls, airflow and drainage after the work.
04 / COMMON QUESTIONS
Room layout, ceiling space, airflow distribution and maintenance access matter as much as appearance. We can discuss options after reviewing your space.
The indoor format is different. Both may use direct-expansion refrigeration; the exact outdoor arrangement depends on the model.
In cooling mode it rejects heat taken from indoors, so warm discharge air is normal. Unusual operation still requires assessment.
